AePDS Telangana: Ration Card Status and ePoS Reports

Official Telangana ration portals

nfsa.gov.in lists 56,56,419 ration cards for Telangana. Unlike states such as MP, Bihar, Delhi and Assam, Telangana is not among the states confirmed to use the common AePDS ".jsp" page layout, so do not expect pages like CompleteAbstract.jsp. The Telangana ePoS link ends in ".html", which suggests a different setup.

Checking ration card status: what is and is not confirmed

"Ration card status" can mean three different things. Here is what the official links can help with, as far as we know:

• Is my card active and how many members are on it? The epds.telangana.gov.in reports section is listed as Telangana's ration card details portal, so this is the right place to start.
• Did my shop distribute ration this month? The ePoS FPS issue report is meant for shop-wise distribution data.
• What is the status of my new card application? Our fact sheets do not confirm any Telangana application status page. Ask your local civil supplies office, or call the state helpline listed on nfsa.gov.in's toll-free page.

Be careful with websites that promise "instant Telangana ration card status" in exchange for your details. Use the official reports instead.

How to use the Telangana reports: step by step

1. Go to nfsa.gov.in, open Ration Card State Portals or State ePoS Portals, and click Telangana. Or use the links on this page.
2. Check that the address shows epds.telangana.gov.in or epos.telangana.gov.in.
3. On the epds reports section, look for an option for ration card search or card details. Names change, so pick the closest match.
4. On the ePoS report, choose the month and year, then your district, mandal and shop if asked.
5. If a search box asks for a card number, type it only on the official page.
6. Note what you see (date, month, quantity). If it does not match what you received, raise it with the shop dealer first, then the civil supplies office.

If a page will not open, try again later or from another browser. Government servers are often slow near month end.

Telangana entitlements under NFSA

Telangana ration cards under the National Food Security Act follow the national entitlements published on nfsa.gov.in:

Under PMGKAY, this NFSA grain is free, and the Union Cabinet approved free grain for five years from 1 January 2024. Any extra state schemes in Telangana are outside our fact sheets, so confirm them locally. See ration card types explained.

e-KYC for Telangana cardholders

A DFPD letter dated 25 June 2024 says NIC has enabled ration card e-KYC at any fair price shop regardless of domicile. In the same letter, Telangana is one of ten states that run their own (non-CAS) PDS systems and were asked to build APIs with NIC so that this works. In practice, a Telangana worker living in another state should be able to do e-KYC there, but if the dealer cannot do it, check with the Telangana civil supplies office.

Taking ration outside Telangana

One Nation One Ration Card lets an NFSA cardholder take ration at any fair price shop in India with Aadhaar authentication. Telangana cardholders working in other states, including Madhya Pradesh, can use this. • Viewing reports is free. Nobody should charge you to "check status".
• Never share an OTP or your Aadhaar with unknown callers or agents.
• This website does not collect ration card numbers, Aadhaar or OTPs.
