If your fair price shop (FPS, राशन दुकान) refuses ration, gives less than your entitlement, or your family is missing from the eligibility slip (पात्रता पर्ची), you can complain. Madhya Pradesh has more than one helpline, and each one suits a different kind of problem. This page lists only numbers that appear on official government pages, explains when to use each, and shows how to prepare a complaint so it gets resolved faster.
Please note: this is an independent information guide. It is not a government website and it cannot register complaints. We never ask for your ration card number, Samagra ID, Aadhaar or OTP. Use the official numbers and portals below.

Official MP ration helpline numbers at a glance
The central NFSA portal page for Madhya Pradesh (nfsa.gov.in/state/MP, updated 13 October 2026) and the state supply chain portal list these contacts:
| Number | What it is | Best used for |
|---|---|---|
| 181 | CM Helpline Madhya Pradesh, also the end-to-end PDS grievance channel (MP Samadhan) | Formal complaints that need tracking and a reply from officials |
| 1967 | Food / PDS helpline, listed for MP | Ration shop issues, entitlement questions |
| 1800-3456-194 | Toll-free number of the MP Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, shown on the IAeSCM portal | Department queries, supply and stock issues |
| 14445 | National One Nation One Ration Card helpline (DoT short code) | Problems taking ration outside your home district or state |
The 1800-3456-194 number is taken from scm.mp.gov.in/PMU.jsp, an official MP page. Other MP toll-free numbers circulating online (for example numbers starting 1800-233) could not be confirmed, so we do not list them. If a website shows a different number, cross-check it on an official page before calling.
CM Helpline 181 and MP Samadhan: for formal complaints
The CM Helpline (सीएम हेल्पलाइन 181) is Madhya Pradesh's main public grievance system. The nfsa.gov.in MP page lists it as the grievance channel for the end-to-end computerised PDS, with the online address cmhelpline.mp.gov.in/Mpsamadhan.
Use 181 when you want a complaint number and a written trail, for example when:
- the ration dealer has refused ration for a full month or more
- you were given less grain than the ePoS slip shows
- your family's names were removed and the local office has not explained why
- a new eligibility slip application has been pending without any update
Keep the complaint number you receive. Exact menu options on the phone line and the website can change, so listen to the voice menu carefully or look for a "register complaint" or "grievance" option online.
How to file a ration complaint: step by step
A clear, specific complaint is resolved faster than a general one. Follow these steps:
- Write down the facts first. Note the month, the date you visited the shop, the shop name or FPS ID, the quantity you expected and what you actually got.
- Check your entitlement. Under NFSA, priority households (प्राथमिक परिवार) get 5 kg grain per member per month and Antyodaya (AAY) families get 35 kg per family, as listed by MP State Civil Supplies Corporation. See ration card types for details.
- Keep your documents ready but private. Have your eligibility slip and Samagra Family ID at hand for the official operator. Do not share an OTP with anyone on a call.
- Choose the right channel. Call 181 or use MP Samadhan for a tracked complaint, 1967 for PDS queries, or 14445 if the problem happened while using portability.
- Note the complaint number. Write it down with the date and time.
- Follow up. If nothing happens, call again with the same complaint number, or visit your block or district food office in person with a written copy.
If the screen or voice menu looks different from what is described here, choose the option closest to "ration", "food" or "public distribution".
1967 and the department toll-free number
1967 is a short code used by many states for their PDS call centres. It is not one national call centre: the call is routed to the food department of your state. The nfsa.gov.in MP page and the scm.mp.gov.in page both list 1967 for Madhya Pradesh.
The department toll-free number 1800-3456-194 appears on the Integrated Aadhaar enabled Supply Chain Management (IAeSCM) portal at scm.mp.gov.in. That portal deals with stock movement to fair price shops and related payments, so the number is useful for supply side questions, such as a shop that says stock has not arrived.
14445: help with One Nation One Ration Card
If you are from Madhya Pradesh and working in another state, or you moved within MP and take ration from a different district, problems are handled under One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC). The Department of Telecommunications allotted the short code 14445 for ration card portability grievances (DoT page).
Portability is widely used in MP. According to news reports, 18,55,554 families used inter-district portability and 36,486 MP families took ration in other states (ETV Bharat, April 2026). Read our One Nation One Ration Card guide and the Mera Ration app guide before calling, because many questions can be answered in the app.
Which number for which problem
| Problem | Suggested first step |
|---|---|
| Dealer refuses ration or gives less | 181 / MP Samadhan for a tracked complaint |
| Fingerprint not matching on ePoS | Ask the dealer about iris, OTP or face authentication; see MP e-KYC guide |
| Name missing from slip or list | Check MP ration card list, then contact Gram Panchayat or ward office, then 181 |
| Shop has no stock | 1967 or 1800-3456-194 |
| Ration denied in another state | 14445 |
| New slip application pending | Gram Panchayat or urban ward office, then 181 |
For other states, the central portal keeps a state-wise toll-free list at nfsa.gov.in State_UT_Toll_Free_AA. That list is published as an image, so read the numbers carefully.
Avoid helpline scams
Fake "ration helpline" numbers and agents are common. Protect yourself:
- Never share an OTP with anyone who calls you, even if they say they are from the food department or the helpline.
- Government helplines do not ask for money to restore a ration card or add a name.
- Do not trust numbers found only in social media posts or unknown websites. Check them on an official page such as nfsa.gov.in.
- Officials verify your details through Samagra and Aadhaar records. A stranger asking for your full Aadhaar and bank details over the phone is a warning sign.
If you were cheated, report it on 181 and at your nearest police station.
Frequently asked questions
What is the MP ration card helpline number?
The main grievance number is the CM Helpline 181, which the central NFSA portal lists as the PDS grievance channel for Madhya Pradesh. The food and PDS helpline 1967 is also listed, and the MP Food Department toll-free number 1800-3456-194 appears on the official scm.mp.gov.in portal. For portability issues, use the national ONORC helpline 14445.
How do I complain if the ration dealer gives less grain?
Note the month, date, shop name or FPS ID, and the quantity you received compared with your entitlement. Then register a complaint on CM Helpline 181 or online at cmhelpline.mp.gov.in (MP Samadhan) and keep the complaint number. If nothing happens, follow up with the same number or visit your block or district food office with a written copy.
Is 1967 a national ration helpline?
1967 is a short code that many states use for their PDS call centres, but it routes to your state's food department rather than one national centre. It is listed for Madhya Pradesh on nfsa.gov.in and on scm.mp.gov.in. For problems taking ration in another state, the national One Nation One Ration Card helpline is 14445.
Can I file an MP ration complaint online?
Yes. The nfsa.gov.in Madhya Pradesh page lists the CM Helpline portal (MP Samadhan) at cmhelpline.mp.gov.in as the online grievance channel for PDS. Look for an option to register a grievance. Website menus change from time to time, so if the screen looks different, choose the option closest to public grievance or complaint, or simply call 181.
What should I do if someone calls asking for my ration OTP?
Do not share it. Genuine helplines and officials do not need your OTP over a phone call, and they do not charge money to restore a card or add a family member. Hang up and, if you think you have been targeted or cheated, report it on 181 and at your nearest police station.
Who do I contact if my name is missing from the eligibility slip?
First check the district-wise list on the official Ration Mitra pages and confirm your Samagra family details. Then contact your Gram Panchayat (rural) or urban body ward office, which handles eligibility slip applications. If the problem is not solved, register a complaint on CM Helpline 181 so there is a written record.
